One Hundred not out!!
On Wednesday November 9th, Perseverance Council No. 42, which meets at the Masonic Hall in Clayton le Moors, held a very special Ceremony to celebrate the Council Centenary.

members of East Lancashire District Team.
In attendance was the Grand Master M.W.Bro. Tom Jackson, also attending was Mervyn Wilson the District Grand Prefect for East Lancashire together with his District Team.

To support our sister District a deputation of members from West Lancashire was present in good numbers, together with Joe McCullom District Grand Prefect for the West Midlands.

As well as celebrating the Council Centenary, during the meeting W.Bro. Graham Newton was Obligated and Invested as the new Deputy District Grand Prefect for East Lancashire. Graham succeeded W.Bro. Peter Hegarty, Peter has taken on the role as a Craft  Asst. Provincial Grand Master for the Salford District, we all wish Graham and Peter much success in their new roles.

Following the meeting everyone present enjoyed a delicious meal, following the meal Mervyn Wilson made a presentation to the Grand .Master and a surprise presentation of Baking Apples to some lucky individual.
